Are you Magnesium Deficient?

As much as 80% of the population is magnesium deficient?  Are you sleep deprived,  get leg cramps, headaches, crave chocolate, muscle spasms or twitching?  Well, you might be deficient.  There are different types of magnesium.  Citrate is the least absorbed, so you would need a higher dose.

We use a lot of magnesium glycinate for sleep deprivation.  There is another neat one that is magnesium threonate.  This type of magnesium actually -crosses the blood-brain barrier and can get you out of that magnesium deficiency quicker.  It can help someone fall asleep and also help to stay asleep to keep you from tossing and turning all night long.

So, the dose is about 2 grams roughly 30 minutes prior to sleeping or at bedtime.  Give it a try, it may be well worth the pill.  This is what we use in our office.

Grocery Store Tips

Want to save money at the grocery store? Want to save money at the grocery store and still eat healthy? Here are some tips you can use to make this happen –>

Shop the perimeter- most processed foods are in the center aisles.

Buy what is in season (produce)- these will be cheaper and you can even freeze them for later use!

Frozen & Canned Fruits and Veggies- are just as healthy! Look for no sodium added and fruit in juice rather than in heavy syrup.

Plan ahead- because well, duh. I fall for this one EVERY TIME. Not sure if I’ll need it so I better just get it.

Store brand is just as good as name brands- sometimes even THE SAME. Yes, some excess products from big companies are sold to store brands at a lower price.

NEVER NEVER NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GO SHOPPING HUNGRY. This is my worst habit, and one reason why I never stay under budget. UGH.

Hope these help!
