HER PERSONAL STORY

When Darci was younger in high school, she was interested in health, nutrition and working out.  This extended going into college.  At first, she wanted to be an actress, then an environmental lawyer.  She proceeded to follow her dream of becoming this amazing lawyer.  At this time, Darci's mom kept telling her that she would be good as a dietitian.  She told her that they don't make any money and besides they work in a hospital or a nursing home, both of which did not interest her.

Finally, she listened to her mom after 2 years of schooling.  Fast forward, getting closer to the degree of being a dietitian, the head of the nutrition department that she didn't have what it took to be a dietitian.  The reason was  that she didn't have all A's in school.  She did work hard at it. That made her work even harder.  After her internship and working in nursing homes and hospitals.  She thought she wanted to go back to school to become a dental hygentist, because hospitals and nursing homes did not sound appealing.  Well, she ended starting a job as a outpatient office working in Bariatrics.  She did that for 7 years.  It still wasn't enough for her. Something was missing.  She then was looking in a marketing magazine and found a functional medicine doctor.  She did a phone interview and got the job.  A light bulb went off and she said to herself.  THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO DO!!  Well, after a few years of working in that office far away from home, she then decided she wanted to be an entrepreneur and no one in her family ever wen down that path.  She did some eating disorder clients in another office far from home.  She then, decided to take the plunge and start a practice close to home and it has been amazing ever since.
